What is an Inpatient Coder?
Certified Inpatient Coders are experts in reviewing inpatient medical records. They translate a patient’s hospital stay, including their diagnoses, treatments, and procedures, into standardized numerical codes. These codes help ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
